Bailey.jpg

Bailey Cook is an award-winning 18-year-old filmmaker who loves making films, editing video, composting and visual effects.

Bailey primarily uses Adobe CC products including Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects (with plugins such as Element 3D & Optical Flares), Lightroom, InDesign & Illustrator.

Bailey currently shoots on a Panasonic GH4 in 4K, and has experience using a Steadicam and DJI Ronin.

The first major short film, The Break In, was shot in 8 hours and was edited and composited in under a week. The Break In won two Central Victoria film competitions which were RAW Arts Award and Clips and Flicks.

In 2012, Bailey made My World. It took him over 6 months to get from idea to a released short film. This film focused more on story elements and dialogue. It was entered in Tropfest Jr 2013, Clips and Flicks 2013 & RAW Arts Awards 2013.

In 2016, his VCE Media film, 10, was voted #1 in out of all Year 12 VCE Media films made in 2015. This led his film to be shown at Top Screens at ACMI in Federation Square and has also been shown in the Top Designs exhibition at Melbourne Museum for 4 months. http://www.vcaa.vic.edu.au/Pages/correspondence/bulletins/2016/June/awardsexcellence.aspx#2

His latest work in 2016 was working on NEXUS Bendigo Youth Theatre's "Oklahoma!" advertising campaign where he has made and designed every single component including posters, business cards, video trailers (currently airing in Bendigo Cinemas), biweekly Behind-the-scenes video content and a flashmob video.

He also created an iBook Digital Programme for the show which is a world-first for the theatre. The Bendigo Advertiser interviewed him about his work for NEXUS so you can check that out here: http://www.bendigoadvertiser.com.au/story/4025155/electronic-overhaul-for-theatre-tradition/?cs=80

He also volunteers for his church, Bendigo Baptist Church, for the last 6 years by redesigning their website, filming Sunday services, editing church news and making promos.

Bailey has just finished Year 12 and is looking to produce a lot more content in the years to come.
